Well that was epic....45 shooters including a few guests turned up at Iceni today for round 2 of the Winter League.
Ossie took top honours with a marvolous 39ex40, missing only target 18..............if it makes you feel any better, so did 35 of the 45 shooters!
Dan leads AA, with Ossie in 2nd and Steve Carter in 3rd
Ian Challis leads A, with Andy Shead in 2nd and Andy Mason in 3rd.....by a whisker! Dave C......one more hit!
John Lloyd leads B, with Antony Martin in 2nd and Leann Mason in 3rd.......by an even closer margin than separated 3rd and 4th in A! Paul Ross.....one more hit for you too!
Gordon Eley leads C, with Tony Sultana in 2nd and Trevor Townsend in 3rd.

In the teams,
Division A is lead by Springfield A, with Iceni SNAFU in 2nd and KWM A in 3rd.
Division B is lead by ETL A, with Iceni FUBAR in 2nd and KWM B in 3rd

Four places for the Showdown were decided;

Cheers mate but it makes it even worse and anyway I’m not having it, it was a dodgy target and should get pulled so I can have clearance 😜👍

That no.18 target was definitely not good as virtually no one around me got it, then I saw one very begrudging hit and it went over. I would say it was either a bit sticky or leaning forwards a bit as it had to be hit just right to go over; I tried to shoot it in the top half but it didn't budge.

Aside from that great shooting Ozzy, shows that the new kit is paying dividends... ;D

I had a check of the target before taking it down. It was dead level and moved freely and fell with a tap on the paddle. The paddle had to move 15mm or so before it went over under its own steam. The only potentially iffy bit was the strings. With bike chain, and two strings with steel carabiners attached it felt quite heavy, so it may have stopped the faceplate moving freely.

The faceplate only had a dozen or so definite hits whereas the paddle was shot to bits so that points towards it being faulty as well.

I was pretty confident with my shot but it didn't go so, as it was my last shot of the day, I had another pop at it, same shot and it went over but not as quickly as expected. Possibly the first shot moved the paddle back a touch and the second finished the job?

For those that have problems seeing Excel docs, here's an easier version to view.... ;D
Though for the full combined results, you'll still need to download the document from page 1...
