History of the South East Field Target Association

The SEFTA region was formed back in 1992 by Chris Lowe (Chairman and future BFTA Chairman), Les Sproat (Secretary, deceased), Barry Warren (Treasurer) and Dave Cook (Comp. Secretary).  Barry Warren currently serves as chairman of the SEFTA committee.

Founding Clubs

The first clubs to join the region were: Newland Hall Air Rifle Club (later to become Springfield Air Rifle Club) their original location was Roxwell, Essex then Stondon Massey where they are still situated. Iceni Marksmen ARC, Colchester, Essex; Highwood Airgun Club, Hornchurch, Essex; Romney Marsh Airgun Club, Kent; Kent Woodsmen, Hamstreet, Kent; South East Airweapons, Horton Kirby, Kent; Invicta Air Gun Club, Canterbury, Kent; Theydon Bois FTC, Theydon Bois, Essex and West London Rangers, Hayes, Middx.
