Welcome to the website for the South East Field Target Association.

Field target is an outdoor airgun target shooting discipline that originated in the UK in the 1980's, since then it has gained popularity worldwide and the World Field Target Federation now has 32 member countries spread across all six continents.

SEFTA is affiliated to the UK national field target governing body The Bfta we send a representative to their committee meetings to ensure our members interests are represented at a national level.

As a region we have our own winter league which consists of 8 rounds held at different member clubs these rounds are open to all club members. At the end of the winter league a qualifying showdown event is held. We also send a team every year to the Inter regional team competition held by the British Field Target Association.  In the summer month clubs hold their own open competitions and some of our members also attend the Grand Prix series of national competitions held by The BFTA, as well as the European and the World Field Target Championship Competitions.  A SEFTA member club normally hosts a grand prix competition which is attended by shooters from all over the country.
